Hydrogen South Africa (HySA) advisory board to be inaugurated
The Minister of Science and Technology, Derek Hanekom, will deliver a keynote address at the inauguration of the HySA Advisory Board on 13 February 2013, from 18h30 at the Protea Fire &Ice Hotel, Cape Town.
The establishment of the HySA Advisory Board is a directive of the Department of Science and Technology’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Research, Development and Innovation strategy. The key functions of the board will be to provide strategic technical advice to the Department, guide and assist in assessing and aligning proposed new activities and recommending the way forward.
Following the approval of the HySA strategy, the Department established three centres of competence, namely the HySA Catalysis centre (co-hosted by the University of Cape Town and Mintek), the HySA Systems centre (hosted by the University of the Western Cape), and the HySA Infrastructure centre(co-hosted by the North-West University and the CSIR).
