Workshop to empower entrepreneurs to commercialise their innovations
The Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) and partners will hold an intellectual property (IP) commercialisation workshop for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Gqeberha, in the Eastern Cape, from 15 to 17 October 2024.
The workshop aims to promote the growth and success of SMEs by giving owners and innovators insights into protecting and exploiting IP assets, among other things, as well as practical experience in pitching their business ideas.
This workshop is organised by the National Intellectual Property Management Office, the Technology Innovation Agency (a DSTI entity) and the Swiss-South African Intellectual Property Project.
The workshop includes lectures, panel discussions and group discussions.
