Africa Engineering Week (1 to 5 September 2014) is a joint initiative of the Department of Science and Technology and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
Activities will include a two-day conference and a meeting focusing on encouraging women and girls to enter and remain in engineering. There will be an exhibition on engineering for learners to visit throughout the week.
The Minister of Science and Technology will launch the first UNESCO Africa Engineering Week at the University of Johannesburg's Doornfontein Campus on 1 September 2014. Concept paper
