DEPUTY MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND INNOVATION, BUTI MANAMELA TO ENGAGE WITH PUBLIC AHEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING(DHET) BUDGET VOTE

The Post School Education and Training (PSET), the single biggest contributor to South Africa’s socio-economic development, will be discussed on Twitter Spaces this evening, with host Buti Manamela, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation..

Last year’s DHET budget amounted to about R116 billion.  The 2022/23 Budget Vote speech, will be tabled on Thursday, 12 May.

Members of the public have an opportunity to engage the Deputy Minister, on a range on issues PSET issue.

Mr Manamela, will be joined by Dr Nkosinathi Sishi,  Director-General, Department of Higher Education and Training, Masile Ramorwesi,  Chief Financial Officer, National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), Nhlanhla Ndlovu,  Executive Director, Centre for Economic Governance and Accountability in Africa, Bongekile Macupe, Senior Education Journalist, City Press, Matthew Parks, Parliamentary Coordinator, COSATU and Bafuze Yabo, Member of Portfolio Committee, Higher Education, Science and Innovation
