Call for proposals: Establishment and management of sector innovation funds

The Department of Science and Innovation encourages industry innovation partnerships as part of broader government efforts to support industry competitiveness. The main objective is to create an environment in which government can effectively partner with industry and support co-investments in research, development and innovation (RDI) in key economic sectors.

The requirement for structured innovation partnerships is premised on the need to encourage greater co-funding and participation by industry players in RDI, addressing local needs, but with increased export market share in mind where applicable.

Interested industry associations or formations representing economic sectors or sub-sectors are invited to submit partnership proposals on the creation and management of a sector innovation fund for their sector or sub-sector.  The detailed call for proposals document can be downloaded here.
