1.    The ToR refers to Annexure A, and it seems it is missing

The Annexure A will be made available by DSI

2.    Where is the KIM system hosted

The system is hosted at the DSI

3.    Can IT provide an illustration on where the technology stack is running on

The technology was built of Java and source code will be made available to the appointed service provider

4.    As a matter of principles, is there any room for NIPMO to consider a new system or completely re-design?

No new system will be considered because of the data that is already on the system and our users are very familiar with using the KIM system.

Migrating data will affect the existing data and therefore we prefer to fix what is existing currently and make developments of new features on the same system.

5.    Where these modules as presented working before or they just got problems along way?

Some of the modules were working at some point but stopped working due to bugs experienced and some modules never worked at all.

6.    We note the 6 months that is required for the development of new features, is there a flexibility allowed?

No, there is no flexibility in terms of the months provided for the project

7.    The ToR mention the integration of KIM with other systems, How much of integration is currently available on the KIM

Currently there is no integration with other systems externally. There is only internal integration with the Alfresco

8.    The ToR mention of the Support and maintenance , What kind of support is required, and does it require the SP to have a helpdesk/ call center for logging all the queries?

The queries could be from the institutions on Adhoc basis when they either struggle with logging in or functionality on the forms

Examples of queries: I forgot my password and I clicked the forgot password option but I didn’t receive an email from the system

I am unable to click the dates on the calendar as it keeps hanging and therefore cannot proceed to making updates

9.    When does the system experience more problems

As mentioned during the presentation we have submissions of IP7 forms in April and October, this is the time that most institutions are working on the system and capturing a lot of data which will then make the system to not function properly, or the system will just be slow or keep on experiencing some bugs.

As mentioned previously on other forms and functionality like OTT support, IP fund we struggle with access to documents that were uploaded as supporting documents.

10. Should the Team have security clearance before application to the tender

Security clearance is done by the DSI after appointment of a service provider
