Background

The theme for the conference: “Harnessing RDI for a robust South African economy” This year marks the 8th biennial CSIR Conference, which occurs at a strategically significant period as the organisation starts seeing the envisaged impact of its new strategy on various segment of the target audience. This is evident in the increased staff exchange programmes with industry, joint technology development agreements, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) supported, and technology demonstrator’s developed.
